So, you’ve done your research and determined that you want to hire The Godfather. Next you need to know what the cost is going to be. To give you an accurate number we’ll have to talk because there are a lot of variables that affect the pricing. Some examples:

Number of hours involved. You say you want 2 hours of DJ. I quote you $300. Then you say I'll be playing the band breaks, which should total 2 hours but in reality is spread out over a 5 hour period before travel.

The hall you choose requires me to haul the equipment up 25 steps which requires extra set-up and breakdown time or the use of an assistant.

The venue you have chosen is more than a 45 minute drive (one way) from home.

The DJ show includes a small lighting package at no additional charge. You decide you want a more elaborate set-up.

In fairness I can’t give you a quote until I know all the facts. I’m more than fair in my pricing. In fact, I’m usually cheaper than the wedding cake at a reception, or the total cost of the veggie tray for all your guests. Yet, I have the responsibility of providing entertainment for everyone in attendance. When was the last time you left a reception saying, "man, oh man, that was some wedding cake.” But you’ve left many a reception talking about what a good time you had, right?
